"I’d used computers for years on a personal level and at my jobs, but I’d never had any real IT training. After graduating from college I was stuck in a dead-end job and really had nowhere I wanted to go career-wise. I knew I’d need new training and skills to get a job in a field that had more opportunities. Knowing that I was already good with computers and looking at the myriad of career options in the IT world, becoming certified and entering the IT field made sense.
The best thing about my new IT career is that I know I’ll never be stuck in a job I don’t like. Now that I’m certified, there will always be other, better opportunities out there for me to take advantage of. Since new technologies appear almost daily, I can continue to learn new things and make myself more valuable to potential employers. Plus, I’ll never get bored.
My biggest concern about the program was the cost. I already had loans from college and for my car, so I was very wary of taking on even more financial burdens. However, I knew that the training I would receive would help me get better, higher-paying jobs down the road. I considered the tuition costs an investment in myself and my future.
As a new student, you must apply yourself. Do the homework, do the labs, experiment on your own. It’s the only way to learn things in detail. It will be very tough at times, but keep focused on whatever goals you’ve set for yourself- obtaining an MCSE, getting a new job, whatever. Work hard, persevere, and you’ll be fine.
I’m now much more optimistic about my future. I got out of my old, high-stress job and now work in a friendly environment where I can set my own goals, learn new things, and gain more experience. I know that after this job, I can find a new one without a terrible amount of trouble and can expect to make more money."

"I initially began my IT career as a Field Service Technician with CompUSA, where I obtained my A+ certification, but unfortunately lost my position due to downsizing. At the time I needed to begin working as soon as possible, so I took employment with a trucking agency where I was both a driver and instructor. Seeing that IT has always been my top interest, I decided that now was the time to get back into the field and in order to do so, I would need to get some additional training to expand my skill set because I had been out of the field for about two years.
Working in the IT field is amazing seeing that it supplies you with a challenging career where there is always room to grow and learn new things. Seeing that in my previous position I always felt as if I was stuck doing the exact same thing day in and day out, I am looking forward to my new career as an IT Assistant where I am going to be able to perform different tasks each and every day. The skills that I learned at ComputerTraining.com enabled me to do this and have ultimately allowed me to get back into the field that I always wanted to be in.
The main concern that I had when reviewing the program was the financial obligation. Seeing that I have a family to support, the cost of tuition really frightened me. I initially enrolled in the program back in 2005 but dropped because I was nervous about the price and the potential issue of not being able to find a job in the field. After working in the trucking industry for about two years though, I realized that I needed to take the leap in order to break back into IT, so I decided to “bite the bullet” and take a shot at the program.
It is going to be a busy six months, but if you completely submerge yourself in it and work hard, you will experience success. Always be sure to listen to your instructors and follow their lead because they know what they are talking about! It will definitely be a hard six months but if you put forth 100% effort, you will be successful.
Being in a classroom atmosphere made me more focused and really assisted me in learning and grasping the material. Admissions did a terrific job on selling the program and outlining everything that was needed of me to be successful. The instructor was outstanding and really built up my confidence level on my technical skill set and allowed me to be more confident about locating employment in the field. Finally Career Services really worked hard with me on resume building, interview preparation and assisting me in landing employment as an IT Assistant at a construction company. The entire staff was really focused on my success and supported me throughout the entire process. Now I have a position in the IT field where I am going to be learning new skills every day and truly enjoying what I do."

"When I first came to ComputerTraining.com I had a good knowledge of computers and Windows, but no certifications to back it up. I
needed a way of getting the education I needed but I had no plans of going back to college. ComputerTraining.com was the best way to start my career.
The first few weeks seemed easy, but I soon learned that there was a whole lot I didn’t know. At times it was hard to take in all the
information that was presented, but the instructor and all the other class members were always happy to help out. With hard work,
help from the friends I made, and my instructor’s devotion to my education, I made it work.
My advice to anyone thinking about whether or not to attend, you should sit in on a class and talk to the instructor and students. You’ll learn
that there is no better way to get certified. Within the six months I spent in the class, I learned everything I needed to know to get certified
and more. The friends I made in my class and the experience I had made this the most successful experience I’ve had in my education.
Since graduating I now face new challenges in my career. However the knowledge and experience I gained at ComputerTraining.com has
not only got me into the IT field, but has also given me more ways to advance in that field. There is not one thing I regret about attending
ComputerTraining.com. By far it was the key to my future."

"I have had a rabid interest in computers for as long as I could remember, but I had never thought to parlay that interest into a career in IT. That is, until I hit a wall in my previous job. I had nothing left to learn and was beginning to feel like I was accomplishing nothing. So I decided to get Microsoft Certified.
I looked into ComputerTraining.com because the hours were flexible enough to allow me to work while I studied, the instructors were extremely knowledgeable, and the classroom environment was very comfortable. I entered the program knowing very little about the Microsoft operating systems, but the program provided me a wealth of information.
As a result of my hard work through the program ComputerTraining.com provided, I have my MCSA and I’m starting a career in the IT field."

"I got interested in computers about four years ago because of my job. My company purchased a laser etching machine that used a windows 2000 pc to run. I had to teach myself how to script using notepad so that we could use the machine. After operating that machine for three years and realizing that I was not going anywhere with that company, I decided that after hearing ComputerTraining.com’s radio commercial that I would check it out. I took the Online Skills Challenge and was contacted by someone the very next day. I setup an appointment and decided it was definitely what I wanted to do.
I just started my very first technicians’ job in the IT field and I am absolutely convinced that this was the best decision I could have made. I love what I’m doing. I have more opportunities to go in so many directions with my new career that it’s overwhelming to try and consider the possibilities. The skills I learned in class have already started showing themselves in the field and that is a great feeling to know that you can actually apply what you’ve learned to a real world scenario and it works great.
My biggest fears were that I’m 37 and I’ve been out of school for 21 years. How was I actually going to be able to get into a school program after being out so long? I didn’t know if I would be able to grasp the information I needed. When would I find time to study? How am I going to pay for this? That was it, I’m too old, I’ve been out of school for to long, and I can’t afford to do this. Well, after seeing where eight years got me at my job, I couldn’t afford not to do it. Let me tell you, it was the fastest six months of my life. The lectures, labs, study materials and specifically the staff are just outstanding. The amount of material covered is incredible. The instructor’s lesson plans are presented very well, and are also explained so that people with little or no computer experience can understand the concepts.
My advice to new students would be to take full advantage of all the resources at your disposal. Study hard, there’s a lot of material to learn in six months. Do the labs over and over until they are second nature to you. Also make sure to start using the self-test software right from the start, this will definitely get you prepared for the certification exams. Make time to study, everybody is busy, but you will definitely benefit from studying hard for six straight months. Trust me it’s worth it.
Looking back, I wish I had done this along time ago. I could only imagine where I would be already. I actually enjoy going to work every day. I’m surrounded by people that enjoy what they do and it shows. Great things are in the future. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me and my new career."

"Before ComputerTraining.com, the only background that I possessed in the Information Technology field was an Associates Degree in Computer Science. Everything that I learned while obtaining it, though, dealt with the programming side of things. So I was not able to do too much with it. Before enrolling in class, I was working in the construction industry and realized that the occupation was not the best, and the physical aspects were beginning to be too much. Seeing that I have always had an interest in computers, I felt that obtaining my certifications would present me with the best opportunities to break into the field.
I really enjoy all aspects of my new career and it is difficult to narrow it down to just a few. One thing I truly enjoy is the constant learning that takes place in the IT field. Each and every day there are new advancements, so there is a lot of exposure to new things and no day is the same as the other. The field will never become routine and stagnant which makes it exciting.
My biggest concerns about the program were the tuition as well as the fact that I did not have much experience in networking. I overcame these fears by realizing that I was investing in my future and staying active with my homework.
The best advice that I would give is not to treat it like a “two-day-a-week” program. In other words, you need to throw yourself completely into it and put in the effort outside of class.
Right now I am in a job that I truly enjoy. I have always had a passion for computers, and feel extremely lucky to be able to take that passion and make a career out of it. The opportunity for growth, both in experience and finance, is endless. So it is a career that will last a lifetime."

"As a travel agent for nearly ten years, I decided that it was time for a career change. I wanted a career that had a lot of growth and earning potential. I kept hearing the ads on the radio for ComputerTraining.com and always had an interest in computers so I decided to pursue a career in IT.
Taking this course was one of the best steps I have ever taken. Having two kids and a full time job, it was a challenge for me to complete the course. During the six-month program, I put all of my extra time into studying, to get through the course. My instructor was an excellent influence and encouraged me to keep up with my studies. The Career Services department is excellent at helping students to create a great resume and gives many helpful interview tips. After completing the program, I was able to stay with my same employer and move into their IT department.
I would definitely recommend this program to anyone interested in making a career change into the fastest growing and most exciting industry."

Before ComputerTraining.com, I had very little computer experience. I had an interest in computer and thought my knowledge was about average, only to realize it there was so much more and ComputerTraining.com did an excellent job teaching the course material. I decided to get certified and make a career change because I realized where I was I was not going to make it much farther and wanted to open more doors to my future with an expanding and demanding field.
I like that in this field there is always new things to learn, and will always have the opportunity to learn. Along with that there are so many different paths to take with technology and the doors that open and lead to new and exciting adventures in this field.
My biggest fear became leaving a job that I was comfortable in and knew that I would always have that job, but after making the commitment to going to ComputerTraining.com I knew I had to leave everything behind and just go look toward the future, because of all the doors that would open and knowledge that could be gained. With the help of the staff at ComputerTraining.com they helped you through the tough parts.
Going to a school that only takes six months is not an easy task. You need to be dedicated and certain that this is what you want to do. It is a very hard, but rewarding at the end only if you put in the time and patience. It was never easy especially having little knowledge coming into it, but at the end with the help of the instructor and the rest of the staff that prepares you for the future and job search they help make the transition easier. With their help and positive attitude to go forward, and your dedication to want to make the change and take a step forward in the end it will be the best experience that you can benefit from.
Even though the beginning is rough starting in a new field and gaining experience it makes you a better person knowing that you will never be stuck in one spot, and the opportunity for growth is always there."

"I was always that guy who everyone called for computer problems both at work and at home. For years I had been working with computers in my spare time; building systems for friends and troubleshooting issues for them but I never took that “next step” to become certified and make a career out of my knowledge. Through the years many people asked me why I was working at my previous job and why wasn’t I doing something with my computer skills. After a few years of watching my annual income decline I came to the proverbial sink or swim point and I was unsure what I was going to do to change my situation.
Then I heard a radio commercial for ComputerTraining.com while on my way home one evening and decided to take their online test to see if I qualified for their program. I took the test and was contacted the next day about my results. I then made an appointment to meet with a representative of the facility to discuss training and certification options. I was extremely nervous to take this step because I simply couldn’t afford to fail so I took some time to think it over after my meeting. Everyone I had spoken to at ComputerTraining.com was confident that I would be a good candidate for the program but I still hadn’t convinced myself. A few days later I decided to take the chance and entered the program. I was impressed with the program from the first day; the instructor presented the material clearly and concisely without seeming to hurry through it. Everyone was friendly and the environment was set up to promote learning.
Overall, it was one of the best decisions I have made. I successfully completed the program with all of my Microsoft certifications and had my first interview within 6 weeks of graduation. As it happened, that first interview was with a company that was too good to pass up. I began working for them and have found myself a promising career full of opportunities for growth and advancement. It’s amazing the difference a radio commercial and a few months of hard work can make. It certainly changed my life."

"I did not have any actual computer background before I chose to join ComputerTraining.com’s program. I was the guy where if something was wrong on the computer at home, I would just play around until it got fixed, but never remembering what I did. I considered ComputerTraining.com as my source of education because I loved trying to fix the computer and I wanted to be able to remember what I did and how I did it, and ComputerTraining.com helped me do just that and much more.
Now having a new career, everything has completely turned around for me. The atmosphere has changed dramatically. The people are so nice and sitting down and working is not so bad either. I can actually say that when I wake up, I look forward to going to work. Having the certifications and education that I have now, there are endless possibilities for me. I can only move up from here.
My biggest concern with going through the program was being able to understand all the information and retaining most of it. The overwhelming part is that there is endless amount of information. So, the best thing for me to do was to just take in everything that I could and when I’m comfortable enough with that, take in some more. My biggest fear was how I was going to utilize this new skill and knowledge for a company. Once I actually got into a position to use these skills, everything started to just fall into place and the people helped out in any case with pride and joy. It’s all one big learning process.
If I could give any advice to new students, it would be to stay motivated, push yourselves further than you ever have because six months does not last a long time and during those six months, your life (if you push for it) will change forever and for the best.
In six months, my income increased by half and that is with one certification. I can only expect bigger changes to occur with more certifications. Thanks to ComputerTraining.com, I can now afford to do things that I want and be comfortable. That to me is a great experience and my life can only change for the better from here on out."
